Interlibrary Loan

Access some 4,000,000 books, audiobooks, compact discs, videos, and DVD's in over 300 Kansas public, academic, and school libraries.

 

Place requests for materials found in the KLC either at the McPherson Public Library or online from your home or office.  Each library patron is allowed up to four requests (including ILL titles being searched for and titles already checked out) on the system at any time.

 

Please note that the following libraries do not loan or have restrictions on audiovisual materials:

The library will notify you by telephone or postcard when your materials are ready to pick up, or if there are any problems.  Any item received for you but not picked up by the date it is due back to us will result in a $1.00 charge to your account.

 

HOW TO REQUEST AN ITEM ONLINE

  • When connected to the KLC, enter the title, author, or subject for which you are searching.

  •  
  • When you find the records for the title you want, click on the individual record with the most holders (possible lending libraries).
  • Click on the [RequestThisItem] button in the upper right screen.
  • Fill in all the fields identified in red, choosing your own password.
  • Click on the button at the bottom of the form.
  • Click on the button to return to the Kansas Library Catalog.
  • To search for another item, select New Search or Modify Search from the  drop-down box.
