With our Interlibrary Loan service, you have timely access to some 4,000,000 books, audiobooks, compact discs, and DVD's in over 300 Kansas public, academic, and school libraries.
You may place requests for materials found in the Kansas Library Catalog either at the McPherson Public Library or online from your home or office. We also can search for items nationwide.
We will notify you when your materials are ready to pick up, or if there are any problems with your request.
- When connected to the Kansas Library Catalog (KLC), enter the title, author, or subject for which you are searching
- When you find the records for the title you want, click on the title with the most holders (possible lending libraries).
- Click on
in the upper right screen. - Fill in all the fields identified in red, choosing your own password. Important -- Please leave the Need by date as is or allow 2 to 3 weeks to receive your request.
- Click on
at the bottom of the form. - Click on
to return to the KLC. - To search for another item, select New Search or Modify Search from the drop-down box.
Before submitting your request, please check our catalog to determine if we own it.
All of your items are due back at this library by the date listed on the item.
You are allowed up to four requests (including ILL titles for which we are searching and titles you already have checked out) on the system at any time.
Any item received for you but not picked up by the date it is due back to us will result in a $1 charge to your account.
Please be aware that some libraries may not loan audiovisual materials.
